Australia: Barley harvest about to start with output expected at up to 7.5 mln tonnes

In Australia the barley harvest is about to start slowly, GrainCom reported on October 19.

There will be only a sizeable harvest in Western Australia (guestimates around 4 mln tonnes barley production in Western Australia), all the other states won’t play a role in the export market, the analysts believe.

Overall Australian barley crop size is estimated between 6.5 and 7.5 mln tonnes.
